Company history
In 2006 Scott Auchterlonie was looking into purchasing a spray on bedliner franchise. After much investigation he found that major franchises were extremely costly to purchase and operate. Further research revealed that a company in California called Vortex Sprayliners were licensing dealerships for their Vortex applied coatings and Granitex baked on floor coatings. That’s when Scotsman's Coatings was born, The rest as they say is history. Scott and his business with the help of Jeremiah help provided the highest quality, most cost effective coatings solution in the state of Kansas.
After many years of providing the Wichita area with protective coatings Scotsman's Enterprise decided to venture off into other projects. Because of the time needed for these other projects Scott made the decision that he needed to focus all of his attention on his new set forth ventures, so he decided to sell his equipment and close or sell his protective coatings business.
That’s when the Gomez family stepped in and took over as JAG Custom Linings, Offering and honoring every thing that Scott has built since he first opened in 2006. Honoring all the worked preformed by Scotsman's Coatings and warranting all Vortex and Granitex jobs. Misty Gomez (Owner) decided to purchase the business after seeing how much Jeremiah Gomez (Husband) believed in the Vortex and Granitex Coatings systems. He has been fully trained in both coatings systems and has close to four years experience as an installation/operator of these systems, by helping Scott with his business for the past four years. Nathanial (Son) also has quite a bit of experience in these systems helping Scott and his Father as much as he could when time has allowed.
As stated previously Scott and his business with my help provided the highest quality, most cost effective coatings solution in the state of Kansas. JAG Custom Linings will continue in the same tradition.
